What information this website collects, why, how long it is kept and how you can control it.

This policy explains how LensVoyage ("we", "us"), operated by Ethan Cole in Canada, handles personal information collected through lensvoyage.tech. We aim to follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

Nature of this website This is an informational website. It does not sell services or products, does not accept orders and does not take payments of any kind. Nothing on this website is a contract or an offer. Any services, prices, timelines and usage rights are discussed with each person individually, only with that person's consent, and are governed by the separate arrangement made with them. We are not responsible for arrangements made outside this website except as set out in those arrangements.

1. Who is responsible

2. Information we collect

Forms. When you use the contact form or the free consultation request, we receive your name, email address, optional phone number, your message, and any details you choose to add, such as a destination or preferred style. We also record that you ticked the consent box.
Emails and photos. If you email us, we receive your address and the content of your message. If you send photographs for a project, we receive those files.
Technical data. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability.
Your cookie choice. We store one small cookie, called consent_pref, that remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies.
Optional analytics or advertising data. Only if you accept optional cookies, and only from services that are enabled on the website at the time. See the cookie policy.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

We use your information with your consent, which you give by submitting a form and ticking the consent box, or by accepting optional cookies. We use it to reply to your enquiry, to arrange a free consultation, to prepare a project if you decide to go ahead, to keep the website secure and to meet legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time.

4. Your photographs

Photographs you send are used only to discuss and prepare your project. We do not publish your photos, or images made from them, without your written permission, and we ask that everyone who appears in a photograph has agreed to it. Editing may involve professional tools, including AI-assisted tools, used for your project only.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not store cookies for analytics or advertising unless you accept them. The cookie policy lists what we use and lets you change your choice at any time.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with service providers who help run the website and email, such as hosting and email providers, under appropriate safeguards. If you accept optional cookies and such services are enabled, analytics or advertising providers such as Google may process limited data about your visit. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

7. Transfers outside Canada

Some providers may store or process information in other countries, including the United States, where local laws may differ from Canadian law.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages and related details only as long as needed to respond and, if a project goes ahead, to complete it and deal with follow-up questions. Unless the law or a project agreement requires longer, we aim to delete enquiry data within 24 months of our last contact. The consent cookie lasts 60 days.

9. Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent, by emailing ecole@lensvoyage.tech. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

10. Email

We use your email address to answer your enquiry. We do not send marketing messages unless you have expressly agreed to receive them, in line with Canada's anti-spam legislation.

11. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information you do not need to share.

12. Children

This website is not directed at children. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us on your behalf.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make significant changes, we will update this page and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.
