Do I need a special photo?
No. A sharp, well-lit photo where your face and body are clearly visible is enough. Window light, a plain background and a phone held at chest height already give me a lot to work with. The source photo checklist takes ten minutes.
How many photos should I send?
One is enough to start. If you have a few from different angles or in different light, send them too; extra references help me match your face and clothing more faithfully.
Is this made with AI?
Partly, and openly. AI-assisted tools help with jobs such as selecting edges or extending a background, but the lighting decisions, the editing and the final retouching are done by hand. It is post-production craft, not a single prompt.
Can the result look like a painting?
Yes. Besides photographic composites I can create painted artwork, from soft oil textures to sharper illustrative styles. We choose the look during the consultation.
Can you put more than one person in the picture?
Yes, including people who live far apart. I ask that everyone who appears has agreed to it. Group images take longer, so timing and scope are agreed in advance.
What files will I receive?
High-resolution files prepared for the way you plan to use them, typically JPEG or PNG for screen and print. Other formats and print sizes can be discussed during the consultation.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the complexity of the scene, the number of people and your deadline. The timeline is agreed with you after the free consultation and before any work begins.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list because every project is different. After a free consultation we agree what is included and what it costs. This website does not sell services and does not take payments; arrangements are made directly and separately with you.
What happens to my photos and details?
They are used only to reply to you and to prepare your project, and are never published without your written permission. Read the privacy policy for the full details, including how long information is kept and how to ask for it to be deleted.
Can I share or sell the finished image?
Usage rights are agreed in writing before work starts. In Canada, copyright in your original photograph arises automatically when it is taken, according to the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, so you remain the owner of your source photo.
Will you make images meant to mislead others?
No. I do not create images intended to misrepresent where a person was for official, legal or insurance purposes. Compositions are artworks, keepsakes and gifts.
